- The ELA technology standard I will focus on is for 3rd grade. The standard I've chosen is: "Actively participate in effortful learning both individually and collectively." This standard emphasizes the importance of engaging in rigorous learning activities, both independently and collaboratively. Students are encouraged to analyze problems effectively, ask relevant questions, demonstrate perseverance when faced with challenges, maintain a positive mindset, and support each other's learning endeavors. Personally, I feel adequately prepared to implement this standard based on my current skill set. I possess experience in designing engaging learning activities that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration suitable for third-grade students. Additionally, I understand the importance of fostering a growth mindset culture in the classroom and providing recognition for students' efforts in tackling challenging tasks. Overall, I believe I can effectively support students in actively participating in effortful learning experiences, both individually and collectively, to promote their academic growth and development at the third-grade level.

- One of the resources available in the CPALMS Educator Toolkit for 3rd grade math is a lesson plan titled "Determining True or False Equations Involving Multiplication or Division." This lesson plan is designed to help students understand and explain whether an equation involving multiplication or division is true or false. The lesson provides clear examples and explanations, such as breaking down equations like 27 ÷ 3 = 3 × 3 to demonstrate their truthfulness. As a teacher, I could use this resource in my teaching by incorporating the lesson plan into my instruction to reinforce students' understanding of the meaning of the equal sign in the context of multiplication and division. The examples provided in the lesson plan can serve as models for students to follow, and I could further scaffold their learning by providing additional practice problems aligned with the given clarifications. By utilizing this resource, I can effectively support students in mastering the concept of determining the truth of equations involving multiplication or division, ultimately promoting their mathematical proficiency and problem-solving skills.

- Being proficient in Internet searching is essential for teachers to access a wealth of educational resources and materials. It enables efficient retrieval of relevant lesson plans, instructional videos, and research articles to enhance teaching practices and cater to students' diverse needs. Among the skills introduced this week, I anticipate using advanced search operators most frequently for precise and targeted searches. Additionally, I often rely on subject-specific databases and repositories to access authoritative educational content not readily available through general searches, ensuring the materials used in the classroom are accurate and aligned with educational standards.
